Vice President, IIT Hyderabad Alumni Association, Japan Chapter
I serve as Vice President of the Japan Chapter of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad Alumni Association, working as a core member of the Executive Committee.
The role is about building durable connections rather than running events. I am responsible for institutional and community partnerships: maintaining the link between the institute and its alumni working across Japan, and developing academia-industry collaboration between IIT Hyderabad and organisations here. In practice that means identifying where research interests on one side meet industrial problems on the other, and making the introduction that turns a shared interest into a conversation.
It is work I find genuinely useful. Having moved between an Indian institute, a Japanese university and Japanese industry myself, I know how much of a collaboration depends on someone having already made the first connection.

President, Indian Association of Kyoto
As the President of the Indian Association of Kyoto, I led a multicultural team in organizing several large-scale cultural and community events in Kyoto, Japan from 2022 to 2024. I also served as a treasurer in the same association from 2019 to 2022. My responsibilities included end-to-end event coordination—covering logistics, budgeting, volunteer management, and marketing. These events brought together over 200 participants and promoted cross-cultural exchange within the community. By fostering a collaborative environment and leading with empathy, I ensured smooth execution under tight deadlines and pressure.
A major highlight of my tenure was hosting dignitaries such as the Mayor of Kyoto and member of the Japanese House of Representatives. Managing these high-profile interactions required precise planning, cultural sensitivity, and strong communication skills. These experiences sharpened my leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities—skills I now bring into technical project leadership, collaborative development, and team-driven innovation in the tech space.
